Introduction to Large Language Models (LLM)


Generative Artificial Intelligence, often abbreviated as Gen AI, is a specialized branch within the broader field of deep learning. Its primary objective is to autonomously generate a wide range of content types, including but not limited to text, images, audio, and 3D models.

In simpler terms, Gen AI can be thought of as a digital artist capable of creating a broad spectrum of content. For instance, it could autonomously write a blog post, design an image for a poster, compose a piece of music, or even create a 3D model for a video game.

Deep learning, on the other hand, is a type of artificial intelligence that learns from large amounts of data, similar to how humans learn from experience. It uses algorithms to understand complex patterns in data, thereby improving its performance over time. For example, it’s the technology behind voice assistants like Siri or Alexa understanding your voice better over time, or self-driving cars learning to navigate roads.

Now, let’s look at some examples of the diverse content modalities that Gen AI can create:

  • Text: Gen AI can generate a wide variety of text content, from writing a novel or a news article to creating engaging social media posts or even generating code.
  • Images: From designing logos for businesses to creating artwork for digital media, Gen AI can generate a wide range of image content.
  • Audio: Gen AI can compose music, create sound effects for video games, or even generate voiceovers for videos.
  • 3D Designs: Gen AI can create 3D models for various purposes, such as product design, video game assets, or architectural models.

In essence, Gen AI leverages the power of deep learning to become a versatile content creator, capable of generating a wide array of unique and diverse content.
